WSI manufactures and supports all components of this seal head assembly except for the seal head body which is KMT part number 72165539. As an alternative, WSI manufactures and offers KMT's upgraded version of this seal head assembly which is KMT part number 7219002179. It is the newest design KMT sells and is 100% interchangeable with the above 72170157 design. Pricing is the same and maintenance and operational life is improved. Please reference WSI part number SK7219002179 to benefit from this upgrade.
ADVANTAGE OF THE UPGRADED DESIGN:
The new 7219002179 design features a flat inlet sealing end. This allows for ease of maintenance in lapping and grinding a fresh sealing surface should it become damaged due to contact with the inlet poppet. The inlet ball poppet on the old 72170157 design is recessed into a pocket which makes reworking the pocket much more difficult. This reduces the usable life of the 72165539 seal head body.
